Dr. Rasha Al-Taweel obtained her second degree as Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University in London, Ontario. Following her graduation, she embraced a new chapter in Thunder Bay, Ontario, dedicating herself to serving a diverse patient base, including the indigenous community. Dr. Rasha seamlessly integrates the sincerity, patience, and kindness emblematic of small-town values with a contemporary approach, shaping every facet of Kanata Family Dentistry.


Armed with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Western University (London, ON, Canada) and an additional qualification in Dental Medicine and Surgery from the UAE, Dr. Rasha possesses a robust educational foundation to effectively address her patients' oral health needs.


Drawing from her extensive experience in private practice in Dubai, Thunder Bay, and Ottawa, Dr. Al-Taweel envisioned a unique approach to dental care. Her goal is to create an accessible, relaxing and patient-centred dental experience, meticulously attending to every detail of the patient visit. She prioritizes assisting patients in achieving their oral health goals with minimal stress, pressure, and anxiety.

Dr. Rasha is a registered dentist with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO). She is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) and serves on a volunteering position at the Education Advisory Committee at the Ontario Dental Association (ODA), contributing her expertise to furthering dental education initiatives. She is also a member of the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) and Ottawa Dental Society (ODS). Her dedication to the dental community is exemplified by her previous service as an executive board member of the Thunder Bay Dental Association (TBDA) during her time in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Currently, Dr. Rasha.


Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Rasha cherishes quality time with her husband and two young sons. She is passionate about reading, meditation, hiking, and has a deep love for yoga, which helps her maintain a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.
